Meet Joy

Some hosts hand over the keys.

Joy hands over Melbourne.

Joy’s relationship with this particular corner of Melbourne runs deep. Before QT was built, the site was the Greater Union cinema, where Joy spent many days watching films as a teenager. When the hotel opened in 2016, she walked inside on its first day of trading and immediately recognised something she loved: colour, drama, theatre and a little audacity.

Host, local, storyteller

Fashionable, funny and friend to many of Melbourne’s restaurateurs and cultural icons, Joy loves the theatre of dressing up, combining colour, texture and layers—and brings much the same eye to the way she experiences her city.
